I am beginning to feel on the mend, and will hopefully resume creating posts that are both compelling and not related to bodily functions. Oh, and I mean "on the mend" from the stomach flu, not the huevos rancheros that is my mental health. Of course I am trying to recover from that as well (why else would I write this?) but it will take much more than a couple days rest and a few gallons of flat ginger ale.
What else can I tell everyone....
Well, I think this would be a good opportunity to talk about a new endeavor of mine. First off, all of you readers must understand is that I am a huge animal lover/animal rights activist. Actually, this summer I was planning on doing an internship with an organization called the farm sanctuary, which cares for animals rescued from the factory farm system. Perfect opportunity for Alex, but I had to decline the job when I was offered.
Why? I hate to tell the answer. I know it sounds so lazy, but 40 hours of physical labour each week is more than I can handle right now.
Anyways, I still want to do something awesome and animal-ly this summer. So I have been considering a few options.
A) Foster rabbits from a local rabbit rescue organization
B) Adopt a rabbit or other small animal
C) Adopt a dog
Now, "A" is the choice of my parents, as it does not involve the same length of commitment as "B" or "C" do. However, I don't know how I could give up an animal I've already taken into my home and bonded with. Mumsie thinks that "C" is the most horrible idea in the world. I really like the idea of option "C". However, I am spineless and probably won't have the nerve to do something she is so adamantly against.
sigh
Anyways, enough ramblings
Peace, Love and Veggies,
Alex
C) Adopt a dog.
